Canteen News
Hi my name is Anna Aird and I would like to introduce myself as the new Canteen Manager at St Joseph’s school.
My family and I have recently moved to Newcastle from Adelaide. We are a Defence family and although we’ve lived in NSW previously this is our first time here in Newcastle.
I have 7 years experience in multiple school canteens and I’m very excited to be joining the St Joey’s community. I will be continuing with the 3-day canteen week of Monday, Wednesday and Friday, starting Week 3 of Term 1. I will be utilising the school vegetable garden and implementing some new lunch items over the school year.
I look forward to meeting students, parents and care givers and encourage anyone thinking about volunteering to please come down and introduce themselves. I am very aware of the importance of volunteers in all school communities and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Parents & Friends for their invaluable support and efforts. Without them the canteen would not be a success.
