Progressive Achievement Testing (PAT)

PAT testing will be completed by all students in Years 2-6 in Weeks 6 & 7, in Mathematics, Spelling, Vocabulary and Reading. PAT is completed each year and looks at student growth across the year. The results from these tests assist us to organise flexible groups for 2022 and ensure that teaching and learning programs are targeted to the needs of all students. There is no need for students to “study” for PAT.

Tell Them From Me Survey

As of today, 12% of our parent body has completed the Tell Them From Me survey, thank you to those who have done this. The survey has been extended until this Friday 12 November. We encourage all parents/guardians to complete the survey, as it will help the school to set targets to improve students' growth, parent involvement and satisfaction for 2022 and beyond. You can access the survey at https://tellthemfromme.com/survey/splash/stjosephs

Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL)

This week the Gold and Red houses enjoyed their reward earning the most House tokens across Term 3. During Term 4 there will be one House winner who will be announced in Week 10.

Our PBL focus this fortnight is Care for All - Caring for God’s world. This unit highlights the importance of caring for our environment, our school, our home and our community. Throughout this learning students will reflect on the words of Pope Francis;

“We are stewards, not masters of our earth. Each of us has a personal responsibility to care for the precious gift of God’s creation.”

Below are some of ways we can care for God’s world. It may be a way to begin a conversation with your child/ren. Why not set a goal over this next fortnight to really focus on how we demonstrate care for our environment.
