Positive Behaviours for Learning (PB4L)
Our PB4L focus area for the remainder of this term is Do Your Best: Be Prepared.Being prepared for learning helps students stay focused, confident, and ready to succeed. It means having the right materials, a positive mindset, and knowing what to expect. Preparation reduces stress, boosts participation, and makes it easier to understand new ideas. When students come prepared, they make the most of their time and grow stronger in every subject. Let’s continue to encourage all students to be organised and prepared so they are ready to learn. We are at a mid-way point regarding our 5-week Dash token count. Sports Captains collected tokens yesterday and it is extremely close between all four colour houses. We wonder who will bring it home by the end of the term?

Joey’s Got Talent
We are looking forward to this anticipated event next week! Auditions have taken place in grade groups and we are happy to announce the following acts below. Kindergarten and Year 1 will be sharing a class act at the beginning of session each – Year 1 on Thursday (18/9) at 11:30am and Kindergarten on Friday (19/9) at 12:30pm (Hall). Where possible we have considered siblings sharing their acts on the same day, but this hasn’t always been the case. Parents are welcome to come and watch. Please understand though that we are unable to offer exact timing. Thank you to the Student Council who are working behind the scenes to make this event great!

Important Security Update for student BYOD Devices (Years 4-6)
Action is required for students with BYOD Windows 10 devices as Windows 10 will soon no longer be supported by Microsoft. To ensure your student device security you should upgrade to Windows 11 as soon as possible. Microsoft has announced that support for Windows 10 will end on 14 October 2025, meaning it will no longer receive critical security updates. To stay protected and ensure optimal performance, it is strongly recommended that all students with BYOD Windows 10 devices follow Microsoft’s instructions and upgrade to Windows 11 as soon as possible. There is no charge for this upgrade. Why this matters:
- Windows 10 will no longer receive Microsoft updates after 14 October 2025, leaving devices exposed to threats.
- Upgrading to Windows 11 helps reduce security risks.
- Student Work Protection: Staying current helps safeguard assignments, projects, and personal data.
Ways to install Windows 11 - Microsoft Support Upgrade to Windows 11: FAQ - Microsoft Support How do I check what version of Windows am I running? Select Start > Settings > System, then select About. You then see Edition, Version, and OS Build information. We encourage all families with Student Windows 10 computers to begin the upgrade process now to avoid last-minute disruptions. If you need assistance or have questions about upgrading, please reach out to the IT support team in our school.
