Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

As we reach the end of another wonderful school year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the many achievements and memories we’ve shared as a school community. From exciting classroom projects to joyful celebrations, our students have grown and thrived with the guidance of our dedicated staff and the unwavering support of our families.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible teachers and support staff for their hard work, passion, and care throughout the year. To our families, your partnership and encouragement have been invaluable in creating a nurturing environment for our students to flourish.

We extend our best wishes for the future to those staff members who will be leaving us -  Donna Morgan, Cate Anderson, Emily Ayres, Isaac Fogarty and Alex Kenny. Your impact will be remembered and cherished

As we prepare to welcome the Christmas season, we wish you and your loved ones a joy-filled Christmas, abundant with love, peace, and laughter. May your holidays be safe, restful, and rejuvenating, and we look forward to seeing you all in the new year, ready for another chapter of learning and growth together.

Farewell to Graduating Year 6 Students

To our Year 6 graduates, we extend heartfelt congratulations on reaching this milestone. Your dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm have left an indelible mark on St Joseph’s.  As you step into the next chapter of your life journey, remember that you carry with you the knowledge and friendships forged here. We wish you success and fulfillment in all your future endeavours.

Our Year 6 Graduation liturgy was a truly special occasion, filled with emotion and pride. Each student was sung in by name at the beginning, and their Kinder buddies presented them with a heartfelt gift and hug at the end, symbolizing the bonds formed throughout their time here.

Awards Ceremony

On Tuesday  we recognised students from all grades who exemplified our school mission and vision statements.  Learn for Life, Love the Challenge, and Live the Truth awards were given out to students across all grades, K-6. We also celebrated achievements in the Virtual Academy, Aspire,  swimming and various other sports, highlighting the importance of a holistic education.

Principal’s Award Party

The Term 4 Principal's Award recipients celebrated in style with a feast in the staff lounge last Friday.  We congratulate these students on their fine efforts this term and look forward to continuing this practice next year.

Back to School Key Points regarding uniforms

  • Black school shoes (not sports types shoes, without embellishments and of a ‘smooth’ surface)
  • White, or predominantly white, trainers with white laces

                See Uniform School Shoe Requirements

  • Hair: Shoulder length, or longer, hair is to be tied back and hair needs to be cut in such a way that it does not hang in children’s eyes or is fastened back with appropriate hair accessories. This applies to both boys and girls.  Designs cut into hair are not appropriate for school nor are extreme hair styles.

Hair accessories that are only in school colours of blue and/or gold are acceptable.

  • Jewellery may include plain ‘sleepers’ or studs, without gem stones. Necklaces, friendship bands and anklets are not part of the school uniform.
  • Temporary tattoos, nail polish and make-up are also not part of our uniform.
  • Sport: Skorts are not part of the girls’ sports uniform.

Merry Christmas,
Karen
