Socktober
Thank you to the Mini Vinnies team for holding a fabulous and fun Crazy Sock Day last Wednesday. Everyone looked great in their crazy socks. A special thank you goes to the children and families of Year 4 who hosted an amazing cupcake sale, raising $587! Each class were given a sock to collect their donations over the week. On Thursday 31st October, we weighed the socks to see who had the heaviest sock. The class socks ranged between 1-8kg. The winner was 6 Gold with a weight of 8.2kg and it also had the greatest value of $220. Well done 6 Gold, they will have the choice of an afternoon of playground games or class movie as their prize. The class sock donations in total came to $1128.20! Thank you to everyone who brought in spare change and added their donations. Our total whole school donation to Catholic Mission this year will be $1715.55. Congratulations St Joseph’s! This money will help many in need, including Sister Stan in Ghana who runs the Nazareth Home for God’s Children.
